You have a great passion for fashion. Have you been always interested in the fashion world?
I fell in love with fashion since I was a little girl. I used to design fashionable garments and accessories for my paper dolls. After a young age, I started sketching my ideas, creating garments for myself and for some members of my family with different expectations for fashion as they are from different countries; my mother and father are from Venezuela and Germany respectively, my grandparents from Venezuela, Germany, Poland and Gran Canary, Spain.
This has given me a cultural richness that has broadened my vision for fashion. My love for fashion is still as strong as back then. Fashion is my life and my happiness and makes me live my dream.
What brought you to Finland and why have you chosen natural Finnish materials?
Love has brought me to Finland. I met my husband in London, where I followed my studies. I fell in love with a sweet Finnish boy who showed me the beauty of Finnish nature, giving to my urban surroundings—where I grew up—a new source of inspiration for design.
As I love leather, discovering the natural beauty of reindeer leather has blown up my inspiration for designing.
Which words describe your fashion and the style of your brand?
High fashion and luxurious reindeer leather garments and accessories that combine and style both a classical and a casual line.
My collections range from gloves to leather jackets in different colours, short and long pants, skirts, tops, and ending with timeless trench coats.
I am offering something that my audience has never seen before.
In your opinion, what makes reindeer leather more special in the leather fashion environment?
Reindeer leather is the most exclusive leather in the world due to its unique characteristics. It is silky, lightweight, incredibly soft, strong and durable with a delicate, sparkling, elegant touch.
Top designers have created their own pieces from reindeer leather but have kept it a secret to avoid being copied.
On the contrary, from my point of view, reindeer leather is the core value of my brand. Creating designs with such exclusive leather allows me to sketch pieces that are an authentic expression of myself and a way of expressing my inner creativity.
What core target of customers do you have in mind when you design your products?
Fashionable and sophisticated women who make femininity their strong point, and who know who they are and what they would like to communicate.
Exotic fashion from Rovaniemi, Finland is a very cool concept. What makes Rovaniemi such a unique place for you to work and live in?
Living in Rovaniemi gives me the opportunity to be close to the source of reindeer leather, which excites me and keeps me energized to do what I really like to do.
On the other hand, Rovaniemi is a window to show my collections to women from all around the world visiting my showroom at the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi.
