This amazing love for fashion blossomed when she was a young girl, learning to combine a growing number of international influences that have found their best expression in her latest, more mature models. Elegant lines and a refined taste are the core values of her passionate and spontaneous creativity, completely enveloped by the beauty of the Finnish nature—an incredible source of inspiration that has provided the designer, always accustomed to a more urban landscape, with a new and exciting perspective.
From Marketing to Mastery
Thanks to her previous job at the marketing department of Pokka Reindeer Leather, the business run by her husband’s family and specialized in the sale of reindeer hides and leather since 1969, Mariela has managed to acquire a specific know-how about the leather industry as well as an in-depth knowledge of customers’ needs.
A very important experience that has encouraged her to further widen her well-established production of outfits for special occasions, and that has led, in a short time, to the launch on the international markets of new creations focused on the employment of exclusive reindeer leather.

Collaborations and Creations
The partnership with the French designer Céline Métel, award-winner at some of the most renowned international fashion festivals, encouraged the concrete realization of some of the most refined projects, giving life to the first high-end collection by Mariela Pokka.
